Thursday night (01/02/12) in NYC at Target; a major announcement and celebration took place with-the-one and only fabulous Designer Jason Wu who broke the news that he will be coming to a Target Store near and dear to you on February 5, 2012!! TODAY!! Yes you so read this correctly, that Michelle Obama’s Designer is giving us his fabulous collection at an affordable price and to die for looks that really will stir up your ho-hum closet!!
Who could forget Mrs. Obama’s Fabulous white-one shoulder hand sewn floral gown that she wore and danced with her husband and newly elected President of the United States in and to top that off having Beyonce sing “At Last.” Now that is a major milestone for this amazing young Designer:
Today, Jason will debut his women's collection and accessories but, what you all may or may not know is that his collection is in stores and on-line for a very limited time. Jason Wu’s collection will run from Sunday, February 5th-Tuesday, March 6, 2012 per a reliable source! Look ladies I have to be just so honest with you all, in looking at the collection that was shown on Thursday night, I found myself just a little disappointed! Why? I guess when I think Jason Wu, I think of his mature, elegant styles that he offers and the clean lines in which we have come to love and appreciate in the styles that he offers. Jason Wu’s collection for Target just seemed as if he was designing just to fit in (meaning we have seen this before and it is done over and over again). Jason Wu didn’t take on a different direction then what is already on the racks of Target by other Fabulous Designers he just became a Clone. Personally, I feel the collection is a little juvenile, immature and very high school, which if this was the direction Jason was going in then he hit his mark perfectly and every young girl is going to love this collection. Then as you know, there is the small portion of the 20-30ish ladies that are going to go out and purchase these looks and then try and wear it to work as to make some sort of fashion statement but, to these woman please step back and let the tween’s, teens and young adults have this line, you go find something else which will give you that polished professional look. P.S. I do love the Kitty Cat bag and the Clutch two great whimsy pieces to add to my collection!
The collection has a range of different little elements like scarves, handbags and other accessories that will have a price range from $19.99 to $59,99 which is really excellent in this economy.
