Hello LaPazions, I know when you think of grey hair you may have a vision of a more mature, wise woman:RitaMature beauty

Well, I have a newsflash for all of you; that just isn’t the case at all.. Today, I was in my salon getting my hair done (mind you I came to get my hair colored to hide my grey that I’ve had since I was 18 years of age) and this young woman who was only 27 came in to get her colored, and by the way she wanted it to be grey.. I think I almost went into shock for a split second, and then I remembered what a major trend this  has been on the runways season and part of last season, and with celebrities.  I thought I do my own research and find out exactly what it would take to go grey, so I interviewed my Stylist (Luciana) said oh, this is a big job takes about 5 plus hours because, we have to dye the hair like a yellow (side note: you know that they are probably stripping the hair) then we have to apply the base color which sits for a moment and last, we do the secondary color which boost the grey.. I’m like WOW!! Next jaw dropping thing is the price depending on what you need and the process- it can go from $700+.. Yup you read that correctly ladies $700 that you basically can wait to have nature do its thing and you grey with age and time but, then you’ll want to dye the life out of beautiful natural grey hair, to make it black or blonde, red something other than grey.

Here are a few celebs that have been on the “grey” train and the looks they rocked:

The title of the photos isn’t meant to be rude but, this is what this style/trend is being called but, as you can see clearly this has nothing to do with grannies at all. I personally cannot say this is a look that I will be or would be willing to try anytime soon but, if this is for you-please make sure you wear colors that compliment your skin tone and don’t make your makeup harsh.

We look forward to hearing your feedback and if you’ve donned this trend we’d love to see your pictures!

Happy TGIF LaPazion- On Wednesday, May 13th the Festival De Cannes took place and again, it was a true star studded event. I thought I’d do something just a little different and give you my top fashion looks and picks for the red carpet.

These are my picks not in any particular order so here we go.. First up is Charlize Theron, who looked just gorgeous in her yellow Dior Haute Couture gown:Charlize Theron in Dior Haute CoutureCharlize, truly knows what compliments her particular body-type and she can strike a stunning pose at any given moment..

Talk about being all grown up and looking just beautiful is Zoe Kravitz, who wore Valentino Haute Couture:Zoe Kravitz in Valentino Haute CoutureWhen I look at Zoe, I think of a very young Lisa Bonet (which is Zoe’s mother) but, this look is very young, fresh and I love the details of the gown and the sheer flowing fabrics just compliment her complexion.

Wow, please pause for one moment- This gown stole my breath and brought the meaning of fashion to the red carpet for me. I’m just weak in the knees over Fan Bingbing’s Custom Ralph & Russo gown:Fan Bingbing in Custom Ralph & RussoFan’s gown is about the details the hand stitching, the floral pattern is truly what makes this gown a show stopper for me.. Then Fan gave us all the back view and it was just as jaw dropping as the front because, it gave us just the right amount of skin-plus the train.. for me this was the train and gown of all gowns (much like when Rihanna hit the Met Gala stair case)purely elegant.

This next look is just beautiful and almost simplistic but, I just loved the color, details and fit on Clotilde Courau’s Valentino Haute Couture gown:Clotilde Courau in Valention Haute CoutureI think what gave this gown life had to be the gorgeous sleeves of this gown because; they gave a feeling of Clotilde wearing a cape which we all know is a very hot fashion trend. I thought her hair and makeup complimented the look and gave it just the right drama.

We saw a real theme on the red carpet which is feathers, feathers and more feathers but, who did it the best for us was Naomi Watts in the stunning Elie Saab Haute Couture gown:Naomi Watts in Elie Saab Haute CoutureFirst the color was just beautiful and the plunging neckline and then when you see her from behind it reveals her gorgeous back and the beading and pockets just stole the show.

Finally, is Lupita Nyong’o who just looked beautiful in the green Gucci gown:Lupita Nyong'o in GucciYou have to just love Lupita’s energy and how much she loved her look. She twirled like a little princess in her gown and the cameras loved every moment and detail of this gown.. From the flower details the framed the v-cut to the beautiful pleating of the gown. Gucci can work a fabric like no bodies business and they have the perfect person wearing this stunner!

These are our top picks from the Cannes 2015 red carpet. We cannot wait to hear who you thought brought their shine…

Met Gala-Red Carpet Review

Theme: China "Through the Looking Glass"

Hello LaPazion, last night all the stars where out shining very brightly for the Metropolitan Museum of Arts. The theme for this years Met Gala is China “Through the Looking Glass” guest could opt to channel either the structure of traditional Chinese garments, were other managed to not overdo the cultural homage. This has got to be the largest displays at the Metropolitan and, it was at first met with mixed emotions but, by the end of the night no one was saying anything negative regarding the exhibit.  The red carpet started around 6pm- STOP THE PRESS- Rihanna has just stolen the show, the night and the best dressed award in my book- I love the Guo Pei gown that she selected and it just gave life to the night!:Rihanna in Guo Pei and Christian Louboutin ShoesRihanna, looked so elegant and regal in this canary yellow gown with fur accents- Talk about Flawless hair and makeup she gave full-thought to her look and delivered in such a “Rock Icon” way!

Okay, I’m probably going to be the only person who will say this, I just didn’t like Queen Beyoncé’s look for the evening:Beyonce Met Gala 15  Jay-Z and Beyonce in GivenchyI didn’t care for the new blonde that she has for her hair color and the very high pony tail made her face look harsh and not soft.  The gown didn’t compliment her body-type and made her look a little drag queenish.. I’ve seen her look ten times better and I don’t know why she thought this look would take best dressed.

Stop wait is that the happy couple? I say this as a slight joke cause as you know Kanye never looks happy nor does he make you think they are “Happy.” I thought  Kim Kardashian-West looked beautiful but, not to throw shade I think we saw this gown that Kim wore like 2 or 3 years ago on Beyoncé:Kanye West and Kim K-West in Roberto Cavalli

BeyonceI guess somewhere in Kanye’s mind he’s got the Queen and even though Kim stated she was channeling Cher, I hate to say it; I think she was channeling Beyoncé somewhere in the back of her mind..

Pause, the 70’s is calling yet again and asking for a return on this look that none other than Anna Wintour wore:Anna Wintour in Chanel Haute CoutureAnna decided to go with this floral frock by Chanel Haute Couture.. Personally Anna Wintour dates herself every single time I see this woman and, it’s just disturbing that she is what the fashion industry places as the Guru of Fashion when, she herself never changes, reinvents nor takes her own look to the next level.

Madonna, Katy Perry and Jeremy Scott all got together for this look by Moschino, which is graffiti and urban inspired:Katy Perry and Jeremy Scott in MoschinoMadonna in Moschino

Wow, Kendall Jenner looked beautiful and she has really blossomed and moved into her own career as a model. She was seen earlier in the week with Designer Calvin Klein and she looked gorgeous in her gown for the event:Kendall Jenner in Calvin Klein Collection

Wow, Cher looks amazing in this Marc Jacobs gown and plus she’s escorted by the Designer himself who looked great:Cher in Marc Jacobs with Designer Marc JacobsI think Cher has truly found the fountain of youth because, she looks basically the same and just is radiant when you see her up close.

Another look I just didn’t think was that hot goes to the 50 Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson, who wore a very little dress by Channel Haute Couture:Dakota Johnson in Chanel Haute Couture I felt her hair and makeup was lacking and she looked like she was about to hit the clubs instead of the Met Gala.

I love that Naomi Campbell rocks the brand that she is the spokes model for and she looked stunning in this Burberry Prorsum gown and, she was with Lee Daniels who also rocked Burberry:Lee Daniels and Naomi Campbell in Burberry Prorsum

I loved the color of Kerry Washington’s Prada gown but, I think it overwhelmed her very tiny frame but, all and all she looked cute:Kerry Washington in PradaI loved the details on this gown and the little bow at the nap of her neck and the back of the gown was just gorgeous..

Wow, in all honesty I really thought this event was more like “Skin Wars” because, everyone had cut outs and more flesh to say the least and another celeb that was on that trend.. Jennifer Lopez who wore Atelier Versace and was escorted by The Donatella Versace:Donatella Versace and Jennifer Lopez in Atelier Versace

Wow, I think Sarah Jessica Parker really took the theme a little too literal and just went to the left with her look from H&M and the headdress is by Philip Treacy:Sarah Jessica Parker in Custom H&M with Philip Treacy headdress

Anna Hathaway knocked her look out the box- We loved the custom gold Ralph Lauren gown just looked amazing on her and she just looked stunning:Anne Hathaway in Custom Ralph Lauren

Rita Ora looked beautiful in her red Tom Ford gown and it was nice to see her with Designer Tom Ford. They seem to partner very well:Rita Ora with Designer Tom Ford

We have so many more fabulous celebs that walked the red carpet but, the article will take another life of its own if we keep going. To see the rest of of coverage please join our Fabulous LaPazion on Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/lapazimageing
