Hello LaPazion, last night all the stars where out shining very brightly for the Metropolitan Museum of Arts. The theme for this years Met Gala is China “Through the Looking Glass” guest could opt to channel either the structure of traditional Chinese garments, were other managed to not overdo the cultural homage. This has got to be the largest displays at the Metropolitan and, it was at first met with mixed emotions but, by the end of the night no one was saying anything negative regarding the exhibit.  The red carpet started around 6pm- STOP THE PRESS- Rihanna has just stolen the show, the night and the best dressed award in my book- I love the Guo Pei gown that she selected and it just gave life to the night!:Rihanna in Guo Pei and Christian Louboutin ShoesRihanna, looked so elegant and regal in this canary yellow gown with fur accents- Talk about Flawless hair and makeup she gave full-thought to her look and delivered in such a “Rock Icon” way!

Okay, I’m probably going to be the only person who will say this, I just didn’t like Queen Beyoncé’s look for the evening:Beyonce Met Gala 15  Jay-Z and Beyonce in GivenchyI didn’t care for the new blonde that she has for her hair color and the very high pony tail made her face look harsh and not soft.  The gown didn’t compliment her body-type and made her look a little drag queenish.. I’ve seen her look ten times better and I don’t know why she thought this look would take best dressed.

Stop wait is that the happy couple? I say this as a slight joke cause as you know Kanye never looks happy nor does he make you think they are “Happy.” I thought  Kim Kardashian-West looked beautiful but, not to throw shade I think we saw this gown that Kim wore like 2 or 3 years ago on Beyoncé:Kanye West and Kim K-West in Roberto Cavalli

BeyonceI guess somewhere in Kanye’s mind he’s got the Queen and even though Kim stated she was channeling Cher, I hate to say it; I think she was channeling Beyoncé somewhere in the back of her mind..

Pause, the 70’s is calling yet again and asking for a return on this look that none other than Anna Wintour wore:Anna Wintour in Chanel Haute CoutureAnna decided to go with this floral frock by Chanel Haute Couture.. Personally Anna Wintour dates herself every single time I see this woman and, it’s just disturbing that she is what the fashion industry places as the Guru of Fashion when, she herself never changes, reinvents nor takes her own look to the next level.

Madonna, Katy Perry and Jeremy Scott all got together for this look by Moschino, which is graffiti and urban inspired:Katy Perry and Jeremy Scott in MoschinoMadonna in Moschino

Wow, Kendall Jenner looked beautiful and she has really blossomed and moved into her own career as a model. She was seen earlier in the week with Designer Calvin Klein and she looked gorgeous in her gown for the event:Kendall Jenner in Calvin Klein Collection

Wow, Cher looks amazing in this Marc Jacobs gown and plus she’s escorted by the Designer himself who looked great:Cher in Marc Jacobs with Designer Marc JacobsI think Cher has truly found the fountain of youth because, she looks basically the same and just is radiant when you see her up close.

Another look I just didn’t think was that hot goes to the 50 Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson, who wore a very little dress by Channel Haute Couture:Dakota Johnson in Chanel Haute Couture I felt her hair and makeup was lacking and she looked like she was about to hit the clubs instead of the Met Gala.

I love that Naomi Campbell rocks the brand that she is the spokes model for and she looked stunning in this Burberry Prorsum gown and, she was with Lee Daniels who also rocked Burberry:Lee Daniels and Naomi Campbell in Burberry Prorsum

I loved the color of Kerry Washington’s Prada gown but, I think it overwhelmed her very tiny frame but, all and all she looked cute:Kerry Washington in PradaI loved the details on this gown and the little bow at the nap of her neck and the back of the gown was just gorgeous..

Wow, in all honesty I really thought this event was more like “Skin Wars” because, everyone had cut outs and more flesh to say the least and another celeb that was on that trend.. Jennifer Lopez who wore Atelier Versace and was escorted by The Donatella Versace:Donatella Versace and Jennifer Lopez in Atelier Versace

Wow, I think Sarah Jessica Parker really took the theme a little too literal and just went to the left with her look from H&M and the headdress is by Philip Treacy:Sarah Jessica Parker in Custom H&M with Philip Treacy headdress

Anna Hathaway knocked her look out the box- We loved the custom gold Ralph Lauren gown just looked amazing on her and she just looked stunning:Anne Hathaway in Custom Ralph Lauren

Rita Ora looked beautiful in her red Tom Ford gown and it was nice to see her with Designer Tom Ford. They seem to partner very well:Rita Ora with Designer Tom Ford
