The weather has taken a major change and it’s time for the beautiful flowers to blossom. We’re not just speaking of blossoming outdoors,

ssish We’re speaking of fashions for the Spring/Summer season. We saw all over the runways the floral prints that have caught the eye of so many and I love the way that they are bringing them forth for all of us to rock, and you don’t have to look like you just bloomed but, you can look regal, classy and elegant in this seasons floral designs. We couldn’t help but take notice of these great floral trends that we think will help you along your pathway, even rocking them for formal affairs:

hue alyce  Green floral1You see you can rock this trend without looking like you just exploded in a flower shop, and the trend is elegant and tasteful. I thought when we started this article we was going to really find it hard to find the right kind of pattern such as what was on the runways, but in all honesty we didn’t really think we would find floral that didn’t just feel heavy and overwhelming, how wrong were we!! I mean it seemed like ever store from Macy’s to the little shops along the way had some sort of floral print-pattern and it just was refreshing, soft and bold and carried them in all sorts of colors. This made us start to look at this trend now for our casual girls and what was offered to them and let me just say I think you will be pleasantly pleased, ranging from friendly budget finds $15.99 Old Navy to $140.00 some of your finer stores:

I know this is just to cute for words and such a great little feminine touch for the season, but, ladies make sure your careful on how you rock this trend don’t over do the floral trend. Meaning, do not put the floral shoes-floral dress-floral pocketbook and in some cases the hosiery, it will be overkill and will also be a true Fashion DON’T!! Try being subtle, like if you have the cute little floral dress, try pairing it with solids and pick a color from the pattern to give Pop to your handbag or shoes this will look Gorgeous and not overwhelming. Its always how you put the trend into action that will make you look great! Try Rocking the look we put together: Black slacks-Robert Cavalli Floral Print top-Solid Green Carmen Handbag and Black Steve Madden Shoe which is trendy and smart for the season:

Now that we’ve told you about the hot Floral trend for this season, allow yourself to go and blossom and see how cute you can make this hot trend and please as we always ask, do feel free to email us your looks to lapazimageing@yahoo.com and we will share you look with our readers, followers and email subscribers plus our Facebook family.

DIY Nail Art “Sprinkles”

Fashion Week 025

Sonya LaRae: Editor-in-Chief

Me-ah: Editor

D. Robinson: Photographer

All products used we are not indorsing or stating you must use

We know many times we go to the nail salon and they do these Fabulous elaborate and stunning little designs on our fingers and we just wish we could do some of these ourselves, but we wanted to come up with a cute little design that you can rock either for summer or Fall but, more so just having fun and doing it YOURSELF! With all of this being stated we give you what we like to call SPRINKLES:

IMAG0535

Let us walk you through step by step; this way you’ll be able to recreate or even create another version of Sprinkles and share with us. Let’s start by giving you the list of things you will need to start this little DIY project:

1. Clear Base Coat Polish

2. White Nail Polish for Background

3. Several Tooth Picks

4. Multiple Colors for the Sprinkles:

Purple, Black, Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink and Orange

5. Wax Paper: This way you can make droplets of Selected Nail Polish

You can select other colors that may look better on your skin tone as many of us in the office opted to do. Anyway lets get things Started off:

1st: clean nails and make sure you have filed your nails

2nd: Apply the clear coat Use any clear polish that you use on your nails, then allow it to dry completely (This is a Very IMPORTANT step)  Once that clear coat has dried complete

3rd: Apply the first coat of White nail polish and allow it to dry completely prior to apply the second coat:

IMAG0523 IMAG0521 Now we are going to start applying the sprinkles, which we suggest that you use the back end of a cocktail toothpick for this step:

IMAG05404th: Select whichever color you are going to make you first dollop onto your parchment paper. Once you have selected your color your going to make a small droplet onto the parchment paper so you can start the process of making your Sprinkles:

IMAG0541 IMAG0526Your going to take your toothpick now and dip it into the dollop of polish and don’t over dip because you don’t want to make a mess or have it to heavy, for when you make your first dot onto your white nail polish for your first sprinkle and you are going to make random dots about 3 to 5 or as many you would like to make onto the base pallet:

IMAG05495th: Your going to do another dollop of your nail polish in another color to apply to the nail and you don’t have to have a set pattern just as long as you know your going to fill the nail with color to accomplish the DIY Sprinkle:

IMAG0550 IMAG0527 IMAG0545

6th: Basically this is going to be the duplicate of all the other techniques that you’ve done in the 4th and 5th instruction. You’re going to keep placing the polish onto the white background until you have no other space to place a dot of polish. Only thing, you must make sure when you’re placing the polish or the sprinkles in a very neat fashion or you’ll have a pure mess on your hands:

IMAG0554

IMAG0534Now that you have completely finished and your nails looks just beautiful and you have the sprinkles all in place and they have dried completely you will add a top coat of glitter or confetti to your nails to give a beautiful shimmer:

IMAG0532  We hope that you enjoyed this DIY Nail Art “Sprinkles” we’ve had the pleasure of wearing this look for this past two days and the feedback has been wonderful and many ladies are interested in knowing how to do this cute little style to their Nails. We look forward to hearing your feedback on this cute DIY Nail Art “Sprinkle”! Will you be adding this to your collection of must haves or is this something that is a must not?

Here at the Alberta Ferretti show you can feel the energy and the crowd is ready to spend time being blown away by the Designers collection. I was speaking with a young lady who stated “she lives for FW, just so she can bring out her amazing style and not be looked at oddly.” I’m ready for the show to start and you see everyone coming in and taking there seat and its almost time to have the first look!:

AF5 AF1 AF2 AF4You see this collection is just breathtaking and so strong in bringing style and class together and I love that the tailoring is very much celebrating the woman’s body and silhouette. Shut the Front Door, this coat that is coming down the runway very chic and just rich in style and the details are beyond words I’m loving this very cohesive collection:

AF6 AF7 AF3So Forward thinking and just right on the money, I don’t know what woman wouldn’t love to wear anything that came down the runway by Alberta Ferretti, it was so well thought out and even the hair and makeup added the perfect touch to this Designers finale looks. On a scale of one where one is not so great and ten is just over the top with greatness, this is  a true TEN!

Milan Fashion Week Gave Fierce Runway Shows-Part1!

Fashion Week 025

Fashion Week in Milan went off without a hick-up, but not for us I guess you’re wondering why we’re just getting you coverage from Milan? Its because we could not locate the photos that our Photographer sent over and its just been crazy!! Urrggh!! Needless to say we hope that you will enjoy because it was so amazing and beyond anything that we could ever think. First stop Gucci; and I mean the colors were bold, some muted and very rich for the season and the use of purple I loved being that this is one of my favorite colors to see in any collection, because I think its a challenge to work with this very brilliant color!! Nothing that came down the runway went wrong it just made you want to run out and go shopping immediately:

GI6 G4 GI1 GI2 GI3 GI5 For me this collection was so right on the mark, my favorite piece had to be this muted colored dress with the yellow swirls and how the fabric just flowed as the model walked down the runway it was so breathtaking. The one thing that I didn’t care for is the hair and makeup, I felt like you had this beautiful collection of sheer fabrics, feminine touches and then you have this harsh look so for me this missed the mark.  I cannot wait to be off to our next show which will be Alberta Ferretti to see what is going to be offered to all of us Fashion Lovers!!
