When I was on a business trip overseas last year; I saw and advertisement for the new collection and have been waiting with bated breath to just try these yummy colors out. Why would I call them yummy is they have names like Mango, Lime and not so yummy Pasteque. Do Blonds Have More Fun:

Article by: Marisol DeGaines

Lapazions, February of this year I was privileged to take in the Two Blonds fashion show and I have to tell you it was insane, cutting edge,a little dark and totally out of the norm of anything I’ve covered for fashion week via Lapazimageing Fashion Forward. Phillipe and David aka “The Blonds” are known for pushing the envelope when it comes to their styling; I mean look at Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and BeyoncĂ©'s nipple leotard she’s donned for her Mrs. Carter tour (need I say anything more). The headshotLook I knew from the jump I was going to be in for a real treat and something just a bit different from those that were in attendance. I mean I totally didn’t get the memo for dress attire so; I stuck out like a sore thumb but, held my own Lapazions. I did see Carmen Electra, Johnny Weir among those in attendance of The Blonds show but, let me give you the feeling via the audience: Carmen Electradifferent oddgun bandJohnny Wierodd fellow Yup very different clientele, it ranged from the psychedelic, punk-rock, sci-fi to down right androgynous. I mean I saw it all in this audience. Now let’s get into the collections I’m a little taken back its like Henry Bates meets Mr. Hyde (Shivers) dark- knives are a main accessory to some of the looks the furs are ridiculous I love them but all and all I don’t foresee me rocking any of these looks anytime soon. Here is your first look at some of the collections:TBS7TBS18I loved the models hair and from the photos from backstage they are rocking the most Fabulous wigs and jeweled stiletto nails. I’m all for the theatrical looks when it comes to hair and makeup, I love it and feel it gives “most” collections a certain pop:makeupNail artNail art2Then from this point The Blonds took us from possible murder to bondage literally and then burlesque:TBS6TBS12TBS13TBS24Then one of “The Blonds” took to the runway wearing this long coat that once she whipped it open it revealed a very tight red sequin body-suit and I couldn’t believe they sent a model out wearing a fur pant jumpsuit that just looked so bulky, hot and made her look a little fat. I seriously thought to myself who in their right mind would even think to create something this odd?:TBS2TBS3TBS21I’m like wow, this collection is very different and not overly cohesive because; just as we’re taking in these pieces gowns start coming out and some are very beautiful but, for me I felt like it was a little disjointed: TBS5TBS10

TBS14I told you the detailing of the gowns are just breathtaking and I love the fluidity of the fabrics just beautiful but, with such a dark and ominous feeling collection your not expecting to see these alluring and beautiful gowns. Hey as they say “fashion is left up-to the interpretation of those that are wearing, styling or taking it in”. To close out the night The Blonds took to the runway gave each other a kiss and brought the house to applause:The Blonds1The BlondsLapazions don’t forget that Lapazimageing Fashion Forward will be covering once again MBFW and Couture Fashion Week in September 2013. Breaking NEWS: D&G Designing Prison Suits:

stripes

Editor-in-Chief: Sonya LaRae

Senior Editor: Leah Leslie

Article by: Sonya LaRae-Certified Image Consultant

Hello Fabulous LaPazions, I know your about to jump out your seat with this news! Its so true, the two famed and fabulous Designers maybe be facing some prison time for none other than, tax evasion. I know Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana better known as Dolce & Gabbana; have and I’ll use my air quotes “allegedly” have hidden hundreds of millions of euros from the tax authorities in Milan, Italy.

In all honesty this blew my mind when I heard about this because, these two acclaimed Designers have had the whose-who wear their couture clothing line; from BeyoncĂ©, Sarah Jessica Parker, Madonna, Cher, Toni Braxton and so many more that we would need about 60 pages to breakdown the list. I’ve noticed that so many celebrities have taken to defrauding the government via tax evasion and they really should know big brother will find out and want every dime. This is the other thing because its with the courts in Italy, the famed Designers will probably never see the inside of a prison or serve anytime what so ever due to the appeals process. Hey Dolce and Gabbana you better be happy this was overseas and not here in the US because like Lil Kim, Lil Wayne, Lauren Hill, Wesley Snipes and so many other you would be locked down and making fabulous prison uniforms to rock.Dolce and GabbanaI guess these two are celebrating right now for their freedom and knowing they won’t see the inside of a prison cell. What do you think of this major news breaking report? We cannot wait to hear your thoughts and opinions.

This is Summer “Hair” To You:

Bridal Chignon

Editor-in-Chief: Sonya LaRae

Senior Editor: Leah Leslie

Photographs by: D. Millen

Article by: Sonya LaRae-Certified Image Consultant

LaPazions hair is just as important as your wardrobe and; we want to make sure that you have the Hottest trends for this spring/summer-13. Now prior to getting into the hair I want to discuss facial analysis/structure so, this way you can tell exactly what your facial profile is and which hair style would be best for your particular face. There is basically five (5) facial shapes and you will fall in one or possibly be a mix-First things first, to analyze your face shape, pull your hair back from your forehead, so you can get an overall picture and examine your bone structure carefully in a well lite mirror.

Look at your cheekbones, the shape of your jawline and forehead, and the fullness of your cheeks. Pick out your key features and then compare your analysis with the shapes that I’m going to breakdown for you here:

1. Square: This shape is easily identified by its solid bone structure and square jawline. The forehead is wide and angled, while the cheekbones tend to be flat and unnoticeable (cheeks often look plump).

2. Heart: This face is marked by being broad at the top and narrow at the bottom. It can appear long, too, and the chin pointed and prominent. Cheekbones may be high, but often do not show because of the width of the face.

3. Round: The forehead, cheeks, and chin practically form a circle, which can make features look flat and uninteresting. The cheeks are often plump and full, obscuring the cheekbones.

4. Long: This particular shape can have either a long forehead or a long chin; features may look drawn and rather raw-boned, creating a tired effect (many times you’ll have individuals asking you are you tired or feeling well). Cheekbones lack lift because of the length of the face.

5. Oval: This is the coveted and dreamed of facial structure: The oval face shape has high, sculpted cheekbones with a softly curved jawline that finishes in a delicate chin. The length of the forehead balances the lower part of the face and features look even and neat.

Now that you understand and know what the five (5) facial structures are you can now decide which of the hot summer hair-styles would look best on your particular face shape. The first hair trend and style is:

Center Part: Round or Square shape should opt for a center part. Why? It will frame your face perfectly and will even it out by making it appear as though your face is slightly longer. Center parts also help define cheekbones and elongate features.Center-Parting-Hairstyles-2013Side Part: Long or Oval shape should opt for a side part. Why? By donning an off-center part, you will create the illusion that your face is a tad wider than it actually is. To get the best part for your face, part your hair in line with the arch of the eyebrow on your "best side." If you cannot figure out which side is your "best side," look at yourself straight on in the mirror–if your nose goes slightly to one side (most of our noses do), then part your hair on the opposite side. h3Slight off Center part: A slightly off-center part is best for those of you with prominent foreheads or chins. By parting your hair just off from the centerline, you will create balance in your features. Again, if you're unsure which side to set your part on, refer to my nose trick (mentioned above for long and oval faces).h2Other very hot hair trends for this summer are the knotted bun, very low bun, messy hair and deep side swept bangs. Whichever style you select to rock make sure you take our guide into consideration for your particular facial structure/type so you’ll compliment your particular features.

Swimsuits for Every “Body”

Body types

Editor-in-Chief: Sonya LaRae

Senior Editor: Leah Leslie

Photographs: Google.com

Article by: Sonya LaRae-Certified Image Consultant

Fabulous LaPazions, we’re taking on another subject which is swimwear. We know how hard it can be to find a bathing suit that looks amazing for your particular shape/body-type. Like I discussed in the article prior to this there are four (4) specific body-types but; just incase you don’t remember I’m going to give them to you again:

1. Hourglass

2. Pear

3. Apple

4. Rectangle/Ruler

Hourglass: This particular figure is characterized by your bust being equal or very close in measurement to your hips. Women with hourglass figures also have small, very defined waistlines. Celebrities that have this body-type are: Selma Hayek, Kate Winslet, Scarlett Johansson.

Bathing Suit tip: When you have even proportions and curves, you can get away with a variety of different bathing suit looks. Ladies, in general this is a flattering figure that can wear several different cuts and styles and look Fabulous! Typically, the bikini was made to show off this curvy sex shape/figure-Look for halter tops, string bikinis with enough coverage for a larger bust, and anything that will give your extra support up top:Hourglass shape2Hourglass shape3Hourglass shape4Another thing you need to know as an hourglass figure Do NOT do the mix-and-match thing! Wearing different colors on the top and bottom could make your body look disproportionate-stick to matching tops and bottoms.

Pear: Women that are pear shaped tend to carry weight on the lower half of their body, normally around the hips and thighs. Pear shaped ladies usually have a hip measurement that is larger than their bust measurement and a small to average sized waistline. Celebrities that are pear shaped are: Kim Kardashian, BeyoncĂ©, Shakira, Rihanna and Eva Mendes and let’s not leave out Jennifer Lopez.

Bathing Suit Tips: Ladies if you’re a little self-conscious about showing too much of your bottom, try a bikini with boy shorts for a little extra coverage. Being pear shaped means, you also have a flat tummy, so don’t be afraid to show your amazing abs!! Use color and patterns to balance your body out visually. Ladies, be very mindful of the busier patterns because; they can and will draw attention to the area meaning your heavier bottom and thighs but, if you wear darker, solid colors will minimize attention. Think patterns on top and solids on bottom doing more of your color blocking for this particular body type/shape will give you more proportions:Pear shape1Pear shape2Pear shape3Pear shape4Why I selected these particular bathing suits is to show you how pattern can be worn to bring the illusion of a smaller waistline and the pattern isn’t too overwhelming that will draw attention to your bottom.

Apple: Women with this particular body type tend to carry most of their weight in the middle. It can be a little challenging finding the right suit for this particular shape; but ladies have no fears I have you covered!

Bathing Suit Tips: You should avoid swimsuits that have halter tops-Why? They will accentuate and bring attention to your midsection. Because the Apple shaped woman has a shorter torso with wide shoulders and a smaller bottom; you want to wear suits that will compliment your figure. Like the Tankini its not just a one-piece suite it has a little break and you can do color blocking. Look for suits that are higher cut on the leg to elongate, wear prints on top and bottom will give the illusion of being more shapely:Apple1Apple2Apple3Rectangular/Ruler: This particular body type/shape is characterized by strong, broad shoulders, proportional hips and the lack of a highly defined waistline. Celebrities with this body type/shape: Cameron Diaz, Kate Hudson and Kelly Ripa.

Bathing suit tips: The main thing here is you want to add curves to a very boxy frame. To do this I tell my clients to look for suits with ruffles, ties and girly bow details; which creates volume and draws attention to your hips and bust. You want to create the illusion of a waistline look at one-piece bathing suits that have a belting detail or vertical details to draw definition into the waistline area and give the silhouette of more curves. Girly details as I stated are your friend think floral, crochet or even lingerie-inspired bathing suits to visually balance out your more boyish frame:Rectangular1Rectangular2Rectangular3Rectangular4I hope this will help you on your quest of purchasing a few fabulous swimsuits for this season and if you have other questions please do not hesitate to send them in to us at: homeoffice_lapazimageing@yahoo.com or book your styling consultation at http://www.lapazimageing.com
