Happy fabulous fashion week LaPazions, anniversaries are being celebrated all over this year and Alexander Wang just happens to be celebrating his 10 year anniversary in this glamorous industry. I mean who really knew its been ten years for this amazing Designer? Alexander Wang started his eponymous label in 2005, when he was on 19 years of age and just graduating from Parsons The New School For Design. When he use to rock the short hair cut:
Now fast forward to this July when he abruptly stepped down after only 3 years with Balenciaga. I cannot begin to tell you how important this show is for Wang. Well, I tell you there are enough celebrities here to make sure this event is a major success- From Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Mary J. Blige, Kylie Jenner and Tyga, Kanye and Kim just to drop a few names.
The first look comes out and I’m still reserving my opinion, if this is a total yay or nay for me.. I’m kind of on the fence because, I think I may have expected just a bit more from this presentation so, I’m feeling like I wanted the wow moment and I couldn’t find it:
I think for us all at Lapazimageing, the collection fell just a little short, and it didn’t seem to have really a cohesive direction but, maybe that was exactly what Wang was going for. For me personally the collection felt heavy and a little disgruntle=very angry models with looks of total rage in their eyes and face..
