Happy weekend LaPazions, WOW!! The coveted September cover is out for Vogue US Magazine-Guess who has landed this esteemed cover? Beyoncé or Just “B”:
LaPazions you have no idea how many super stars are praying to land the September cover-I guess you can say that Beyoncé is on her “Global Domination” per the storyline and teaser to her article.
Beyoncé's look is very reminiscent of her Drunk in Love video treatment i.e. the wet look-she dons a Marc Jacob Lace applique dress with a sequined purple blazer, very natural makeup, drippy hair and a look that is rather eerie as she looks down the lens of the camera of acclaimed Photographer Mario Testino:
The images from Beyoncé's photo shoot, started to leak late Wednesday and, was officially confirmed by Vogue that she definitely was the cover model for September late Thursday, just before the official announcement via Vogues Twitter/Instagram accounts. This is rather huge for the mother of Blue Ivy, being this is only the third time that a woman of color has solely held this exclusive spot (honorable mentions Naomi Campbell and Halle Berry in 1989 & 2010).
Now B-hive don’t go and swarm me for this next comment but, this is my honest opinion on this shoot treatments, looks and the very odd video that she shot for this campaign. 1st: I totally didn’t get the treatment for the shoot- I’m not sure if this is to symbolize some sort of rebirth but, personally I feel they could have given her more of a high fashion/angelic approach using water, being that she has the wet look already. 2nd: The Atelier Versace gown, really what is so beautiful or artistic seeing someone’s butt crack?:
Lost in translation- seriously by them (meaning Vogue and Photographer Mario Testino) taking this approach just cheapens this elegant location and what the September issue really stands for.
