Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Day 5 (Betsey Johnson)

I’m coming to you live from the Betsey Johnson runway show! I love this particular designer, because its always so fun and about enjoying life and having funky beautiful clothing to enjoy it in!  The music is very trendy playing Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj and other well known artist are being played. Backstage is just Chaotic, models running around, hair and makeup a live DJ playing music for a good feeling! Back to who is in attendance of this runway show is Nicki Minaj who fits in here greatly with that outfit she is wearing-I love her off style, and she fits into the Betsey Johnson free spirited way!

Another hot Fashion trend for this season that we saw on many of the runways the models nails, were just fabulous from bejeweled, reverse tropical manicures not so much in bright colors but, in like sapphire blue with the white oval at the cuticle instead of the tip.  I love it and plan on trying that ASAP. Plus, with the matte finished nail polish colors they have put glitter on top of the matte color to bump it up a couple of notches.  Well, its time for the show to start and the lights dim the music comes up and we get our first look at BJ S/S 2012 Collection! A beautiful white gown comes, with a corset bodies, this dress is somewhat different from what we normally see from Betsey, its very sexy and had like an old Hollywood glam affect. The models hair is deep wave set and the lips are bold full-color and just super Fabulous you have to see it:

  

The ruching is just beautiful and the little gloves are so amazing. This is a more sexy collection with flirty sheer fabrics and floral patterns and the textures and combinations are just Fabulous! From what I hear this collection is inspired by T&A, that is a very nice way of putting it. She wanted to have more curvy models and inspiration of Rock and Roll. 

This collection is so sexy and even has some really cute pieces that look more like something you would wear in the boudoir.  I liked some of this particular pieces for like Rhianna, Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj, so cute very sensual:

I enjoyed all the elements of this collection and how Betsey Johnson, married all the pieces. In closing out the show Betsey did it in normal fab fashion, with her little dance and cartwheel and a split!

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Day 3 (Monique Lhuillier)

I have to tell you I’ve been waiting for this show. I love this designer because, her wedding gowns are just breathtaking, and she has such integrity in all of her magnificent designs. The buzz that I’m hearing is, she is going to present a very different feeling in this S/S collection, and will be giving us some different textures and looks in the fabric selections.  I think that is why so many celebrities are in attendance of this amazing Designers show: Ivette Pietra and Peter Bandt II, Mandy Moore, Jamie-Lynn Sigel and Rose and Rose McGowan:

  

Its show time and I’m thrilled my heart is racing and I’m so ready!  The lights dim and the music comes up and this beautiful blue and black dress appears and its really lovely.  We’ve seen a lot of color blocking but I love the way Monique Lhuillier has placed the fabrics and the pattern is really stunning:

I love the cobalt blue and black the strong yet very feminine lines, she has great use of textures and fabric choices. The yellow’s are bright and vibrant and such wonderful details and the lines are clean.  Like I stated, Monique Lhuillier is brilliant and this collection can transfer you anywhere you would like to be its just that magnificent:

 I love the use of sequence, the cut outs the way she has brought attention to having the  shoulders out, is so sexy and one of the nicest features on a woman.  The color pallet is great cobalt blue, yellows, fuchsia and silver.  I thought every element was covered until we see this gown come out and it looks like she has taken paint and strategically splattered the fabric.  JUST EXTRAORDINARY!

The only thing I would change would be the models hair, I felt that it was to simple and to flat for this type of collection.  I love the natural make up the nails oh and by the way, regarding nails this coming season.  You’ll see really pretty pastel colors with a matte finish as well as bejeweling is going to be very hot.  Anyway this Designer has taken us to the highs of highs and i loved ever moment of it!

I’d like to give you the most amazing and gifted Designer Monique Lhuillier!

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Day 3 (Vivienne Tam)

I’m here at the Vivienne Tam show, and speaking with several of the guest and spectators, everyone is waiting to see what this talented Designer is going to present. Everyone is a buzz, Thank Goodness they are asking them to take their seats!! WooHoo, the plastic is being removed from the runway (I’m so excited) and the lights are dimming!

The music comes up and there is a little pause and then the model comes out on the runway! Oh, such a cute red boyfriend jacket with a very flirty and slightly sheer short set, which has the greatest pattern, this collection is really starting off correctly:

I love the details along the blouse and how it kind of gives like a tie effect.  I like that the collection has a life, its girly and nothing is masculine about the collection.  I can see this line if you’re Vacationing and then there is another element that you’ll see as this progresses:   

The color pallet is beautiful from blues, greens, reds it really goes with the season, the pocketbooks and clutches add such a wonderful touch.  The next few pieces that come onto the runway are nice for the office, going to meetings, doing brunch or lunch with the girlfriends, so Fabulous!

Vivienne Tam has really brought the hotness, class and sass! OMG, you should see the last garment that she is closing the show out with the sleeves are dramatic and the color is so vibrant! Let me close off with applause, the introduction to Designer Vivienne Tam and her last look of her runway show:

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Day 3 (Jill Stuart)

I’m here at the Jill Stuart Runway show and its packed in here I mean packed.  I’m loving the energy in here because Jill has the front of the house rocking to Drake, Rhianna and some other hot songs-This is really-Shut up! I’m looking right at Scott Disick (Kourtney Kardashians’ Baby Daddy) and Kris Humphreys (Kim Kardashians’ New Hubby)Major pandemonium has just broken out!!  I can see that Kris and Scott have a major Bromance between them. Maybe Kris will rub some of his good manners onto Scott, and hopefully Scott’s badness, won’t rub off on Kris. Let me see who else is here Emma Roberts (Julie Roberts Niece) is here with Jaime King they look cute and there’s other celebs here as well. The Show is about to start everyone is taking their seat and the cover is being removed and the lights are dimming.  I can feel myself edge up some and then, the lights come up and the 1st look comes onto the runway and its this really cute flirty dress with great details, I love the different way that Jill is doing the color blocking and the shoes OMG! are yummy just to die for because they are colored blocked as well! You have got to see this:

 This collection is so flirty and feminine and the Silhouette is just made in mind of a woman’s body. The details that Designer Jill Stuart put into the collection is just priceless from the scalloped hemline the technique’s are just flawless and elegant.

I think this collection is amazing and perfect right down to the little retro feeling, just priceless.  The color pallet is fresh, the clutches that the designers are showing are a must have! Ladies really look out for them once they hit the racks they are going to go fast!!

I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this collection and Jill Stuarts creativity.  For me she knocked this right out the park-excuse me out the Center (Lincoln Center).  Its my joy and pleasure to introduce you all to Designer Jill Stuart:
