Day 1-Mercedes Benz Fashion Week F/W 2013

We’re at our finale show of our first day and Lisa and I are here to really take this Designer in. I’m not overly familiar with his work so I’m looking forward to seeing what is presented; where on the other hand Lisa is a major fan of Tadashi Shoji and is expecting to see several looks that would work for the red carpet.

Tadashi is taking his inspiration of like and Ice Princess in the Russian tundra and we know that hair and makeup are very romantic with a little twist the lips are almost like if you were out in the cold and have that deep coloring and the hair is upswept and romantic waves. I’m ready to see what is about to be offered to us and it is show-time!!

Per Lisa: OMG! I’m loving this I think he is just pure genius and the concept the idea is just perfection. I love the romantic feeling and then, you have some of the peasant feeling to this elegant and very formal collection just brilliant. Okay LaPazions, I have to say there are some really beautiful elements to this collection and some of the fabric choices are truly gorgeous but, I don’t necessarily like that there is a little disjointed feeling to the collection. You have these fabulous quarter length jackets with a fabulous bellowed sleeve, very classic gowns and then you get this lacey kind of peasant looking frock.

For me I cannot say this collection is pure perfection but, I did like certain elements in Tadashi’s collection and I do believe that there could be a few red carpet looks for the right persons. I didn’t care for the use of the velvet’s and lace and some of the puddling at the bottom of the gowns wasn’t very attractive either.  I really think we’re in for a better day tomorrow and we look forward to bringing you more fabulous coverage from Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Fall 2013!
