There is Strange Fruit at Adrian Alicea Haute Couture

Our Special Correspondent Najaam Lee attended Thursday evening NYFW Adrian Alicea Haute Couture show at the Grand Landmark on the Park, for a show that was to be just breathtaking, very unique and original. Starting with the venue it was very different and had a different feeling to it kind of hard to describe. Being that we are here kind of early lets go backstage and see what we can see in regards to hair and makeup. This is going to be a very visual kind of show the hair and makeup is very dramatic, very dark and gothic feeling to vampish-In which the name strange fruit is fitting, I must give you a sneak peak:

Well, what did you all think about that? I mean its very different and I’m interested in seeing what the collection is going to look like. Okay, its time and the light are dimmed and it a very heavy feeling in here the music starts; Billy Holiday’s version of “Strange Fruit.” As the looks start to come out onto the runway and the very elaborate introduction is truly something to see:

   

Now you see what I’m speaking of our Special Correspondent Najaam Lee of Vedic Image Group stated: “The show was rather slow moving and took its time to build, I knew something rather odd was going to take place once it did get started because in our package that we received to introduce the Designer was rather different. He looked sort of Gothic meets-Prep meets-Vamp. Najaam, also found that a lot of the collection wasn’t very cohesive meaning the women’s wear didn’t blend with the men’s wear and somewhere he just popped these poor children into the mixture”:

  Like we stated in the beginning of our coverage of Designer Adrian Alicea Haute Couture Runway show, was bring you all something different and unique and I think he by all means, Adrian did just that and he stayed true to his vision!
