Hey Fabulous LaPazions, we are here live at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and today is day one!! I have to say we’re already spotting some of the hot trends for the coming season and we love what they are presenting us with. I had the great pleasure of attending “Creatures of The Wind” by Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters, the collection takes birth of its name by and old Johnny Mathis song entitled “Wild is The Winds.”  I thought it so interesting being that I’m such a Johnny Mathis fan only due to my mother, who at the time worked for the Record Label he was with at the time of this particular album. Anyway, I love the retro, bejeweled and colorful collection that they offered us it wasn’t per-say anything that we haven’t seen before but, I love how they put their particular twist and signature to this new era of the 70’s feeling. The other thing was the makeup it was a somewhat natural feeling to it with detail to the eyes being heavily made the hair was such and understatement of the show like they forgot the budget for a hairstylist and just plopped these strange little bonnets on the models. You have to see this and let us know what you think of it; because we weren’t that impressed with the hair but the collection was nice but; it left me wanting just a little bit more:

I enjoyed this collection and it is a fresh breath of air and I think there are certain pieces of this collection, I wouldn’t mind having in my own closet to add a certain pop. Stay close to us because we’re off to Costello and Tagliapietra, and I’m looking forward to seeing what they are going to give us this season because we loved them last year. Hi Fashionable LaPazions, we’re at Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra’s S/S 2013 Runway show and the energy is fabulous. I like the venue and the setup going to see if I can get back stage and steal a sneak-peak before the show to see what is what for us today. I’m really excited to see the to unlikely pair of Designers collection. I mean in all honesty you guy’s if you see Costello and Tagliapietra you would think they are more lumberjack then Designers but, they are the lumberjack’s of Fashion because, they are cutting down any sort of competition or thought that they may be just following the trends. OMG!! I’m so sidetracked right now because sitting across from me is Robert Verdi, I love him and I think he is one of the influencers of my love of fashion and style from seeing him on the Red Carpet and doing on the Street makeovers.

I didn’t get to really go backstage long because I was so introducing myself to Robert Verdi who was very pleasant. The Fashionable Lumberjacks where backstage putting finale touches on the clothing and doing some interviews but, its show time and the first look is about to start!! Okay, I love the fabric choices the color pallet is very nice and rich the corn-silk yellows and burnt oranges are very nice, loving the V front’s of the dress and the dusters are to beautiful again they have knocked this out the box! They captured a feeling of romance, elegance and sophistication with whimsy. Excellent job Gentlemen, really such and excellent job with this collection I have to let you all see what we are looking at: This collection just spoke to me and is so ready-to-wear; I could picture this collection on several different background of the ladies that would wear this collection. It has some of the glam that if you was invited to a party for the office or black tie event you could pull from this collection for your clients. I feel the collection was very cohesive and blended well with each section of change they have done it again the Dynamic Duo has just blown everyone away!

  When the final walk happened I got to really do a final look and the details are just beautiful from the pleating and the little tucks in the fabric and the floral and the raw silks are really just lovely I give this collection 8.5 stars out of 10! I hope you all enjoyed as much as did and we hope you’ll stick around to see what else we are going to be offering all of our Fashionable LaPazions!

OMG!! Do you feel the energy in the air? Have you been just running around trying to get everything in order for this Fabulous Week of Glamour, Style and Breathtaking Runway Shows? For many of us in the Fashion Industry we just live for our calendars to hit this time of the year, so we can see what our favorite Designers have been up to and what they are going to amaze us with, when their first looks hit the runways. Our schedule for this Fashion Week is rather lighter for this season; due to us just being so pressed and pulled in so many different directions leading up to this amazing week of style. Thursday, September 6,2012 Fashions Night Out turns 4; I know we thought it was older than that but, only 4 years ago retailers joined in on this amazing event. Now to see that last year alone this amazing Bash/Event was held in eighteen countries and more than 4,500 events took place here in the States; Per Fashions Night Out. We see Celebrities from the Music Industry, Movies and Fashion take part in this splendid event. Last year in the middle of Time Square we saw Diddy perform and many others, if the City you live in aren’t taking part, see if you can make it to a sister City so you can really experience the amazing sales and breathtaking shows. Then the event of all events starts on Friday, September 7, 2012 we begin to see all of our favorite Designers showing their collections:

Things are still coming together and all the events that are on the front are moving us closer and closer to all of the Fabulous Collections. We’re going to bring you coverage from #MBFW and just to let you all know the last day September 13, 2012-There are No Shows on Site but, there will be 5 shows off site which, we noticed several Designers have opted to show-off site; such as DKNY, Zac Posen, Tory Burch and John Bartlett to just name a few.

Ralph Lauren has TWO shows one at 10am and 11am Location: 275 Hudson Street

Calvin Klien has TWO shows one at 2pm and 3pm Location: 205 W. 39th Street

Cesar Galindo Collection  has his showing at 4pm Location: 71 W. 23rd Street 18th Flr.
